In essence: Hear again My supreme word, the most secret of all: You are exceedingly dear to Me, therefore I shall speak for your welfare.

Sadhak-Guru Dialogue
Sadhak: "Why would Krishna save the most important teaching for last, after already saying 'do as you wish'?"
Guru: "Because the highest teaching requires the highest receptivity. By first honoring Arjuna's freedom, Krishna ensured Arjuna would receive the final teaching as a free being, not a commanded servant. Love's highest gift is given to one who can freely receive it. Arjuna is now prepared—reflected, informed, free—to receive the ultimate."
Sadhak: "'Exceedingly dear to Me'—how can God have preferences? Isn't He equal to all?"
Guru: "Chapter 9 addressed this: Krishna is equal to all, yet present especially in those who love Him. It's not that Krishna discriminates; it's that love creates a special channel. The sun shines equally on all, but the one who opens their curtains receives more light. Arjuna's devotion creates intimacy that allows for deeper sharing."
Sadhak: "Can I be 'exceedingly dear' to Krishna too?"
Guru: "Krishna explicitly says so in Chapter 12 and elsewhere—whoever loves Him is dear to Him. This isn't favoritism but relationship. Love responds to love. If you turn to Krishna with genuine devotion, you too become 'ishta'—dear. The intimacy that allows the ultimate teaching flows naturally from devotion."
Sadhak: "'For your welfare'—is the highest truth always beneficial?"
Guru: "Yes, when properly received. Truth that exceeds your readiness can confuse, but truth matched to readiness liberates. Krishna has spent seventeen chapters preparing Arjuna. Now the ultimate truth becomes 'hita'—beneficial—because Arjuna can integrate it. The truth hasn't changed; Arjuna's capacity to benefit from it has grown."

🌅 Daily Practice
Approach the divine with the awareness that you are loved: 'Krishna, You speak for my welfare because You love me. Help me receive Your teaching not as duty but as love-offering. Help me become ever more dear to You through devoted surrender.'
When reading or remembering the Gita's teachings, hold them as personal messages of love, not impersonal philosophy. 'This was spoken for MY welfare by One who loves me.' This orientation transforms how teaching lands in your heart.
Reflect on divine intimacy: 'Am I cultivating the love that makes me dear to Krishna? Do I approach the spiritual path as relationship or as mere technique?' The Gita culminates in love, not just knowledge. Let your evening rest in that love.
